Yellow Zinc Plating – 10.9 and 8.8 Material

Due to environmental restrictions the yellow Hexavalent Chromium Zinc Plating with the nice deep color is no longer available from our manufacturers.  The yellow Trivalent Chromium Cr3 topcoat that is used after the plating process that give the finished product the yellow color does not adhere as well.

The Cr3 ROHS compliant finish that we are now providing is a Zinc Plating with a Yellow Hue.  This is a very light-yellow coloration similar to the light blue that we see from Europe.

We will continue to market this line as yellow but will change the description slightly to indicate this change.  This finish is fully ROHS compliant and does not have any special labeling requirements. 

If a full dark yellow is still required some alternate coatings may be available processed in Canada for special orders however the pricing is becoming prohibitive.
