Socket Head Cap Screws: Black Oxide Finish, Alloy Steel

  • Thermo-Forging®: Preserves the metal fibers – continuous and uncut. The result is a stronger screw with 15-20% increased resistance to fatigue failure.
  • Dimensional Control: Critical areas such as under head bearing surface and radius, run-out thread section and thread profile are designed carefully.
  • Precision Threads: Present methods ensure smooth, burnished threads unsurpassed for uniformity and accuracy.

Flat Head Socket Cap Screws: Alloy Steel

  • Non-Slip Driving: With the close-fitting, internally engaging hex key, power is transmitted for extra firm setups without loss through side play, reaming or slipping. Costly slips of the driving tool are avoided, along with possible damage both to the work and the screw.
  • Accurately Formed Heads: Screws have the standard 82 degree angle under the head. Sockets are accurately centered in the screw head and are formed with clean edges without burrs. No ragged chips are in the socket bottom to prevent the full leverage of the hex key from being used.
  • Class 3 Fit Threads: The smooth, burnished threads are unsurpassed for accurancy and uniformity. Close frictional contact between screw threads and threads of tapped hole is of paramount importance. The harder the screw is turned down with the sure-gripping key, the greater becomes the friction which is holding power.
  • No Burred Slots: Hex-socket Flat Head Cap Screws are ideal for countersinking with complete closed head contact all around. No slivered or damaged slots caused by driving tool skids. An even surface is always assured.

Socket Set Screws: Alloy Steel, Plain Finish

  • Sealing Advantage: Holo-Krome set screws are perfectly adapted for use in gauges where tamper-proof settings are necessary. By setting screws flush with or below the surface, wax can be melted into the depression and socket ruling out any chance of unauthorized changes being made.
  • Ideal for Fine Adjustments: Because of the close, snug engagement between key and socket, screws can be set up or adjusted without risk of the key slipping. Properly seated, the key cannot ride out of the socket. Fine, delicate adjustments are readily made: with Holo-Krome it is easy to “feel” the amount of tightening pressure being applied.

Socket Shoulder Bolts: Alloy Steel

  • “Tru-Ground” Surfaces: Holo-Krome “Tru-Ground” process produces smooth, highly polished head and shoulder surfaces with unequalled concentricity between head and body. The precision made possible by this process permits holding diameter tolerances to closer limits. Heads are made to a height admitting die clearance even in cramped designs. “Tru-Ground” surfaces impose maximum resistance through fiction.
  • Made of Heat-Treated Alloy Steel: Use of alloy steel heat-treated to exactly uniform hardness, gives these screws the correct balance of strength and toughness. Accurate sockets and precision Class 3 fit threads add up to holding power to withstand punishing shocks and stresses.

Dowel Pins: Black Luster Finish, Pull, Alloy Steel

Dowel pins are designed to achieve maximum holding power in assemblies where parts must be accurately positioned and held in absolute relations to one another.

They serve definite and important functions in holding parts in alignment by absorbing side pressures and lateral thrusts, at the same time facilitating quick disassembly re-assembly in their exact relationship.

Standard → 1/8″ – 1″

Oversized → 1/8″ – 1/2″

Socket Jam Screws

Hex socket jam screws are useful for locking set screws, springs, and flow controls into tapped holes. The controlled socket dimensions give good “wrenchability” for use time after time. The precision 3A threads help in providing a vibration resistant joint. The tenacious black finish gives a quality appearance and protection. The full length hex socket permits access from either end or visual inspection of the locked part.

Socket Pressure Plugs: Brass, 7/8" Taper Flush Type PTF

  • Precision-forged deep sockets with smooth, flat walls and controlled corner radius to ensure even distribution of driving torque.
  • Threads are precision rolled to provide smooth fully formed tapered threads for a high pressure seal. Rolled threads improve the sealing action by eliminating spiral machining marks.
  • Controlled structural grain flow and greater wall thickness provide superior bursting resistance.

Brass, 7/8” Taper Flush Type PTF → 1/16″ – 3/4″

Alloy Steel, 7/8” Taper Flush Type PTF → 1/16″ – 3/4″

Alloy Steel, 3/4” Taper Dryseal NPTF → 3/4″ – 1/1/4″

Allenut

  • High quality, multi-purpose, internally-threaded fasteners afford compact holding power
  • 12 pt (double hex) socket has 12 drawing points for easier hex key engagement
  • Knurled surface allows finger “spinning” to point where wrenching force is required
  • Allenuts serve as ready tapped holes, or to replace stripped or worn threads
  • Allenuts may offer designers significant savings in space weight and materials
